Safe House

Angela & Jonathan came up north for a brief visit and we made the most of it. After a mini tour of the city; sandwiches at Jimmy John's; a brew at the Press Club Bar; and a tour of the Pabst Theater, we headed over to the Safe House. After all these years the Safe House is still a good time. Angela could do without the spiders the bartender kept placing on the back of her hands, but all in all it was lots of laughs and a fun thing to do on a rainy night.

Jonathan is son of Jan's cousin, Mary Koerner Hazinski.

Bennington, Vermont

Day Three - East Coast Vacation

Today we toured Bennington, Vermont.

~ The monument commemorating the 1777 Revolutionary War Battle of Bennington. Started in 1877; Finished in 1891; (not the battle...the monument) it is 306' tall and the tallest structure in Vermont.

~ Three Covered Bridges. Still in use.

~ The restored Bennington RR Depot

~ A GreenBay Packer Bar in New England? "Kevin at Michaels Inn" Owner, Kevin, served us well. Monday Night Football - Packer Bar - Good Brews - A win would have made it perfect!

Taking a break from shopping on Bergenline Avenue in Union City, NJ Apparently Bergenline Ave. is one of the longest stretches of shopping in USA. It goes for blocks and blocks in both directions.
