Muskego Community Festival Parade Antics

My sneak attack upon my neighbor came as a surprise to him; however he and his buddy retaliated with water cannons so I got blasted too, but it was worth it! Later John wondered why the water was soooo cold! That was because I kept it in someone's cooler until the time of the attack!

A Return To Brooklyn

Neil is back in Brooklyn tonight visiting friends and will be heading up to Petersburgh for a week-long visit at Kellene's place in upstate New York. I hope he has a great week! Williamsburg Bridge to Brooklyn from Manhattan

I had an offer for a ticket to tonight's game, but the message was left on my answering machine while I was at work yesterday so I missed out! I'd hate to miss out on a ticket during the regular season so I gave the season ticket holder my cell phone number!

Stories of the Witucki Family

While assisting Mary Witucki Bergs in contacting some of her relatives after the death of Ed Witucki, I had the good fortune of talking to Helen Bertram who directed me to another descendant from the Witucki family, Carole Sumiec McGibany, who I had heard prepared a Witucki Family book of stories and genealogy. I called Carole and ordered a print of her book. Carole did a wonderful job of compiling the Stories of the Witucki Family. Of course I was particularily interested in the stories about the marriage of Lucy Witucki and our Uncle Mike Kulas. This book will make a nice additon to our family library.

A Letter From Mary Bergs

Today's mail had a letter from cousin Mary Bergs. She mentioned what a nice time we all had at the 2006 Kulas Reunion in Wausau. She proceded to mention all the food that was spread out on those tables and how nice to see Maxine, Tod, Patrick and me. Mary also asked if I would call Ed Bertram in Oconomowoc (she has misplaced her address book) to tell him about the death of her nephew, Ed Witucki at age 70. I was able to locate the Bertram's on the internet and gave them a call. Ed Bertram was at the Kulas Reunion in Wausau, but I didn't meet him. (He must have arrived after name tags ran out!)

So now back to who is Ed Witucki...Ed is the son of Lucy Witucki Kulas' half brother Florien Witucki. And Ed Bertram is the son of Lucy's sister Katherine Bertram. Lucy had three sisters: Mary, Katherine and Anna and one half brother, Florien. Florien & Ciel had a son, Ed Witucki and it is he who recently passed away.

Toby

Homecoming Originally uploaded by Gadder.

Today there is sad news from Florida as I learned that Toby had to be put down. Toby was always there! A good companion to Katie, Tim, William & Maggie...everyone in that family and Katie's very special friend. Here Toby is shown greeting Katie as she returned from the hospital after delivering William last September. Toby will be missed by us all!

I think this group was having more fun at a draft horse pull then they were supposed to! After taking a few movie clips, I couldn't get them to hold still for a still shot! Spending the day at the Wisconsin State Fair on Monday, August 7th were: Connie & Rick, Julie & Jim, Chris, Kaye and the twins Rachael & Robyn, Tod and Gary.

We finally had a rainy and cloudy day and I could stay in and update my flickr photo albums. I spent the time organizing the photos from the wedding trip to California. After I was all done, I remembered that Jill's friend, Jen Sawyer sent a group of pictures to me. So I went back in and included those as well. If anyone else has photos from the wedding, please send them along and I'll post them with the others. It's always nice to see other perspectives.

Neil also showed me how to add a URL to my signature block so I give him credit for making these pictures a little more accessable.

Jill and Don are about half way through their stay in Germany at this point and so soon they'll be counting the weeks before they return to the USA.

To view the photos as a slide show will get you through them quickly. You can speed that up too if you want. If you want to read the captions though, you'll still go to the slide show feature, but then click on the pictures individually.

Have a good week everyone!
